The RV-21A Rotary Evaporator is a laboratory distillation and separation instrument widely used in medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical research, chromatography, and petrochemical applications. It is designed for efficient solvent removal through controlled evaporation under reduced pressure.
The working principle combines four key processes: lowering pressure to reduce solvent boiling point, rotating the sample to increase surface area, applying controlled heating, and condensing vapors using a cooled glass condenser system.
The RV-21A model is equipped with a DC brushless motor and an automatic lifting system, ensuring smooth operation and enhanced safety during use. It operates at a rotation speed range of 20–300 rpm for precise process control.
The unit features a dual heating water/oil bath system with a temperature range from room temperature +5°C up to 180°C (oil mode), along with overheating protection for safe operation. A high-quality PTFE sealing system provides excellent chemical resistance and reliable vacuum performance.
An integrated LCD display with knob control allows easy setting and monitoring of operating parameters. The system also supports a vacuum regulator for improved process efficiency and control.
